Plaid can't find my bank

Plaid connects to more than 12,000 financial institutions across the world, but sometimes it might not have an integration set up for your particular type of bank account just yet.

In order to use Cledara, you will still need to connect the account via Plaid because this is how we process your Cledara repayments.

In this case, you will need to verify your account manually by following these steps:

  1. When Plaid cannot find your banking partner, you will be prompted with Link with account numbers.
If you do not see this option, scroll to the bottom of the list to find the option:

  2. You will need the following information for Plaid to identify your account:

    • Routing number
    • Account number
    • Type of account (checking or savings)
    • Account holder name (which will always be your company name)
  3. Based on the details you provided, Plaid will send a micro-deposit to the account within 1-2 business days.
  4. Once you have received the micro-deposit, head back to Cledara and reenter Plaid by clicking Continue with the connection process:

  5. Once Plaid has verified your account through this manual process, you will see this confirmation:

By going through this process, Plaid does not retrieve your transaction history and account balance. This means that we do not have the necessary information to calculate your credit limit automatically. Please share with us bank statements from the previous 3 months for us to access your credit limit.
