Your billing name and address are the details shown for your Cledara cards. This article explains where they come from, how your registered, trading, and billing addresses differ, and how to change them.
Name on card
The billing name for your cards is your company's registered name, as shown on official filings.
If your billing name is a single word (for example, "Cledara") and a vendor asks for a first and last name separately at checkout, enter that word in both fields.
Change your name on card
To change the billing name on your cards, contact support@cledara.com and provide the business name change form filed.
Registered, trading, and billing addresses
We hold three addresses for your company, and each one has a different purpose:
- Registered address
Your company's legal address, as shown on official filings.
- Trading address
Any physical office address in the States your company operates from with active SOS filings.
- Billing address
The address shown for your Cledara cards. It's always the same as your trading address.
If a vendor asks for your card's billing address at checkout, enter the card billing address shown in Cledara, which is the same as your trading address.
Some merchants might impose a limitation on payments made with cards from other countries.
If your card gets declined despite all the details being correct, check with the merchant if they accept cards that are issued with a foreign address.
Change your registered or trading address
Contact support@cledara.com with the new address. Here's what we'll need to make the change:
Changing your trading address also changes your billing address.
If your company changes its name
Let us know at support@cledara.com, and include a copy of the business name change filing you submitted. We'll update your records so your account stays up to date and compliant.
If your email domain has changed
A name change often comes with a new email domain. If yours has changed, email support@cledara.com, and we'll help you update your users' email addresses in Cledara.
If you use Google sign-in or Okta SSO
Make sure the email addresses of your users in Cledara match the ones active in your Google or Okta account, so everyone can keep logging in without any issues.
If a user's email in Cledara doesn't match their active Google or Okta email, they won't be able to log in with single sign-on.
